Today, we rejoice as we welcome and pray for our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV; who carries a name steeped in history and hope. 

O God, Shepherd and Ruler of all Your faithful people, look mercifully upon Your servant Leo, who has been chosen as shepherd to preside over Your Church. Grant, we pray, that by his word and example, he may edify those over whom he has charge, so that together with the flock committed to him, he will attain everlasting life. Through Christ, our Good Shepherd and Lord. Amen.
